Talkin' To The Sun

Raindrops keep
falling on my
head.  So I just
did me some talkin'
to the sun
And I said I didn't
like the way he
got things done.

Physics

tells you two
objects cannot
occupy
the same
space without
crash. 
Your moving
vehicle cannot
share the
exact
same spot
as mine.

Six Months

Gone
just that quick.
Happy
New Year.

Soon

The offer accepted.  The paperwork
begins.  It won't be long.
This is good.  A relief.

Sunday Silence

I enjoy the silence of
Sunday mornings when all are
still asleep except for me.
Yesterday was birthday 49 for me.
It was fabulous.  Greetings and cards
sent my way from many dear friends.
Dinner out at Benihana and from my best guy,
two new Pandora charms for my bracelet.
Can't ask for more than good times
and love to make your day complete.

Dilemma

I have Friday off.  I wonder,
should I be responsible and
clean house and shop?  Or,
go to a movie and see
"it's Complicated".  Sitting in the
dark, blowing off the day and
munching on buttered popcorn?
To be responsible,
or not?

Shoes

In the past few days,
our sweet old cat, Quest,
has taken up the same
unusual manner of
hanging out in the closet
and laying on my shoes.
So reminiscent of
her sister, Shy, who
took great comfort in
my shoes during
her final days just
before she went away.

Day Off

Saturday is my
day off.  I need
to grocery shop,
run errands,
do laundry,
clean house.
Why is there
more to do
today than
on a work day,
if this is
a day off?
